So, this is new to all of us. How's it going? What's a good time of day for your family to read the Bible story? Did your children remember it from Sunday?

Hello everyone. We seem to take our time in getting to FISH at home. It mostly has to do with crazy work and extracurricular schedules but tonight we found some time at the dinner table during dessert. Emelina recognized the story as "from the bible when Ms. Day read it". She also initially thought that God especially rejoiced in her on Thursdays. ;) After our giggling subsided she explained that she thought we were asking what day God rejoiced in her which made me smile. Kids seem to be so good at hearing questions literally which of course makes me realize that I should be more precise with my language. And, of course, it will come as no surprise to you that she thinks God finds something to rejoice in her everyday. When pressed for particulars, she shared that today it was when she showed respect in Spanish class by listening. :)

We too struggled during the week because of so many activities but we had a really nice discussion tonight and Grandma added that God rejoices in us when we do the things that Jesus teaches us. Matthew thought that God rejoices in us when we show respect for others and Isabel thought it was when we are good to others.

We picked so many apples Friday that when we baked some of them today, Elisha said we should make a 100 pies and give them to people who don't have pies. He likes to put food in the basket at St. Andrew's but we sometimes forget, like today, on the way out the door.

The coloring book was a big success! Thank you, Marcela!!! I enjoyed watching Matthew get all the colors just right on the altar page.
