What a blessing to celebrate Easter together! It was a day filled with joy and love. And now the celebration continues! It is our "job" to continue celebrating Easter all the way until Pentecost (June 8). A few suggestions:
- Plan to attend Sunday FISHing this coming Sunday, April 27. We'll explore the various resurrection appearances of Jesus on an Easter Walk.
- Make an Alleluia chain at home: when the family is together, provide strips of construction paper and ask each family member to write or illustrate their "Alleluia" moments from the day. ("Alleluia" means "praise God!" and an Alleluia moment may be a smile from a friend, a sunrise or sunset, an answered prayer, learning a new skill, a favorite food for dinner ... you get the idea!)
- Use tape or staples to connect the strips to make a chain, and celebrate how long it gets each time you gather.
- Use this prayer, or another you like: Christ is risen, He is risen indeed. Alleluia! We give you thanks, O God, for Jesus, who died and rose again to give each of us life with you forever. Thank you for every Alleluia moment you place in our lives. Amen.
