Popular social researcher and Episcopalian Brené Brown says that we live in a culture of privilege; the challenge is to keep that from becoming a culture of entitlement. She encourages any kind of family practice of gratitude; with gratitude comes joy, and entitlement can't take root. Here are several gratitude practices you might try at home this Lent:
Mite Boxes
Our mite box offering this Lent will be taken to St. Peter's School in Berault, Haiti by our mission team after Easter. Pick one up at church, and read about how to use it here.

Praying in Color
Sybil MacBeth, a noted Episcopal author, offers several templates you may print at home. Let each family member choose one! Use colored markers and name one thing for which they are thankful each day. Doodle or color around it. By Easter you will have a colorful record of your thanksgivings!
