So, the forty days are here! How will you use this sacred time to grow closer to God? Here's a few suggestions:
Learning
Love Life is the Lenten offering from the brothers of the Society of St. John the Evangelist in Cambridge, MA. It offers daily videos and meditations, delivered via email, and a weekly sheet for recording your reflections. Register here, and come to a forum at St. Andrew's to discuss it on March 23, March 30 and April 6.

Lent Madness is both fun and informative. Go to the website each day to read about the two saints who are paired against each other, and vote. Watch your favorites advance through the bracket (or go down in stunning defeat). Engage the online conversation to reflect more deeply about how others, both saintly and ordinary, have used their gifts in love and service to God. And follow the bracket on the main bulletin board at St. Andrew's.

Helping Others
Be sure to pick up a mite box at church, so that you may support our Lenten offering for school lunches in Haiti. Each week a new thanksgiving prompt will be offered in the e-News, in the Sunday bulletin, and here. For the week of March 16, we think about water.
Think about it: Port-au-Prince is the largest city in the world with no sewer system. In rural Haiti, only 49% of the people have access to improved water sources and only 25% have access to improved sanitation.
Pray about it: Thank God for our abundant water supply. Place a coin in your mite box for way you use water. Pray for those who don't have access to safe, clean water.
